Wendover Art Tour

Travel + Leisure Design and Procurement Team embarked on an exciting adventure to Tampa, Florida, to visit the newly established headquarters office of one of our most utilized vendors, Wendover Art. This trip was made possible thanks to the kind invitation extended by its president, Richard Forsyth, alongside our local representative, Jerilyn Bennett. Departing from Orlando, we were eager to experience the vibrant culture and hospitality that Tampa has to offer. Our first stop was at one of the city’s premier luxury hotels, The Edition, which truly exemplified the epitome of high-end accommodations. The hotel was meticulously designed, showcasing a seamless blend of contemporary elegance and comfort, with every detail thoughtfully curated to enhance the guest experience. From the stunning architectural features to the exquisite furnishings and unparalleled service, it was undeniably one of the most remarkable hotel stays I have ever encountered in Tampa, Florida. Each moment spent at The Edition was a testament to the luxury hotel industry, where every aspect is designed to cater to the discerning traveler.

As the sun began to set, our group was invited to explore another luxurious social venue that had recently become a highlight in Tampa’s social scene, The Stovall House. This exquisite property, with its rich history and stunning restoration, offered us a glimpse into the past while providing a modern social atmosphere. We were fortunate to receive a guided tour of the estate, where we learned about its historical significance and the meticulous efforts that went into its restoration process. The tour was not only informative but also visually captivating, as we were treated to the sight of an original Picasso painting, which was displayed prominently within the property. The evening culminated in a delightful dinner shared with our entire team, accompanied by some of the Wendover crew, fostering connections and conversations that enriched our experience.

The following day, we rose early, filled with anticipation for the day's agenda, and made our way to the Wendover Art factory. This visit was particularly enlightening, as we gained insights into the recent acquisitions the company had made to enhance its service offerings and expand its internal capabilities. The full factory tour was an eye-opening experience, taking us through various processes including frame making, mirror and glass cutting, imaging, and artistic capabilities. Each step of the production process was explained in detail, highlighting the craftsmanship and innovation that goes into creating Wendover's stunning artworks. One of the most memorable moments was when our team had the opportunity to unleash our creativity by designing and creating our own piece of art, a hands-on experience that truly connected us with the essence of Wendover Art.
